Steve Myers, of International Racing Consultants and the CFO of TOYOTA Escondido of San Diego County, has confirmed, a three race Baja South Series and newly announced Trans-Baja Highway 1 Rally, scheduled for May this year. Myers explained these racing offerings are meant to invite international racers from around the globe, to compete with SCORE International and its fascination of racing in Mexico.
Three races in Southern Baja Mexico and the new Highway 1 Rally, will be using Myers own race tracking systems, once used by Sal Fish's SCORE.
"We've contracted with the Baja South guys for three of their races", said IRC owner, Steve Myers.

The "new" SCORE will be hosting its first event down south this year, with much fanfare. However, recent disappointments in its event operations, will give racers other ideas on where and when to race, in Mexico.
The racers are rightfully asking, if SCORE is going to operate its races like 'mexicans', why not race an "authentic" racing event, at significantly discounted entry fees compared to Roger Normans 'gringo' prices?!

New Racing in Baja Mexico
The Highway 1 event, it is reported, has all of its local, state and federal permits. The rally will proceed south over a three day schedule, which includes a Tijuana start and Cabo San Lucas finish.
International Racing Consultants had used an international French company in much of its hardware and software. After the French company failure recently, IRC moved to consolidate its tracking systems at its United States headquarters.
