!CRIMINAL CHARGES FILED AGAINST ROGER NORMAN IN BAJA CALIFORNIA, Mexico!

"The Federal Environmental Protection Agency (Profepa) has formally presented a criminal complaint to the Federal Attorney General against the american enterprise company Score International, S de R.L. de C.V. (name in Mexico), for carrying out the Baja 1000 Off Road Race in 2018 in Ensenada. 

The complaint was filed Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in the Ensenada offices of the federal attorney general, because the race organizers violated Articles 418, (I) and (II), 420(IV) and (V) and other sections of the General Law of Ecological Equilibrium and Protection of Flora and Fauna in the Valle de los Cirios."

Off-Road Racing and Van Halen got their start across Los Angeles, USA. The famous rock band played massive, raucous backyard parties out of Los Angeles, in Southern California. 

This excerpt, from Greg Renoff's fascinating (even for non-VH fans) Van Halen Rising: How a Southern California Party Band Saved Heavy Metal, a book almost anthropological in its level of detail, finds the band gigging at one of the aforementioned parties. Until, that is, things start to get out of hand.
