After the failed TrophyLite owners bailed on their original covered up sham this week, Pete Sohren commented on the situation: “damage control......funny , latest press release states the new owners "bought" it.......always smoke and mirrors from these clowns...”. Mentioning the failed Scaroni-Foutz now, Rick L. Johnson operation.

Then one of Pete’s failed loser detractors said: “Look forward to running a TL in the Baja 500 against your truck in 7200. YEa i know last year we DNF'd. (Did Not Finish the race) thanks. BajaLite damage control would be someone hitting you in your fucking mouth.” He continued, “you constantly stir shit up, talk shit and insult your competition like you do. Not even just TL but Mason, Predators, etc. It shows because you only have one truck out there running for all this 40k in contingency money. So if your jaw was wired shut you might sell trucks.”

Pete slammed the discussion shut, describing how his program is WINNING: “its only jan. 23rd and the bajalite has already won 3 races, laughlin 1, laughlin 2 and last weekends MORE 200... my (business/racing) model was to EXTENSIVELY test the truck and parts before selling to the public and letting them be the test mules.....the bajalite prototype has won 14 or 15 races in less then 2 years WITH RENTAL CUSTOMERS driving it.....yes the bajalite wins the baja 1000 while ALL 4 trophylites DNF, do you see the difference? 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be done soon, dont worry... sold bajalite number 4 today...”

I think the use of the word Professional in off-road racing is just an ego thing. Who do you know that makes their living (takes a salary and pay's their bills) racing off-road? I'm not talking about owning or working in a fab shop or parts store. I would have to guess Robby Gordon would be the closest as he had sponsors paying him to race. But even now the majority of his payment comes from himself as he is Speed Energy. Bottom line is 99% of the people in the sport have other means of income. We use our disposable income to pay for our racing. This would make us all Sportsman. Thus the Pro classes should be called Sportsman classes.”

Retarded logic rules many in this recreation across the west, where racers drink and do drugs and the racing events owners allow no testing or licensing of the contestants, whatsoever. Call Pete now and you can race this weekend in Baja Mexico!

Developing...Desert Assassins Bad Luck Hits Cody Stuart, Seriously Injured at Laughlin...In The Hospital in Las Vegas Now

DA Cody Stuart injured when the Trophy Truck of Cameron Steele grenaded...He's getting surgery tonight but it might be a series of surgerys. Like 3 or they might do it all tonight. There's shrapnel in his leg. Bone is crushed. The scary part is there are arteries near the injury. They are intact but they make the surgery really tricky.... Also it's transmission metal in his leg so there's worries about infection.

Laughlin First Day of Racing Report

Las Vegas’ B.J. Baldwin was able to keep his new year’s resolution by winning the overall and SCORE Trophy victory at Saturday’s season-opening SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge by diligently racing his No. 97 Baldwin Motorsports Chevy Silverado to a winning time of 53 minutes, 45 seconds averaging 55.81 miles hour over eight laps of the rugged 6.25-mile desert race course.

The racing classes are divided into groups for five multi-lap races each day. The start/finish line area and main pits will once again be located at the Laughlin Events Park just off of Casino Drive in Laughlin. The day-long second race of the weekend will start Sunday at 7 a.m. The first motorsport event of the year in the United States in Laughlin, 90 miles Southeast of Las Vegas.For the first time in the history of the event, each day of the two-day Laughlin gathering has separate race events for purposes of championship points, prize money and trophies.

Baldwin, who won both the 2006 and 2008 SCORE Trophy Truck season point titles, survived a tight battle for the five laps with fellow Las Vegas Rob MacCachren, finally pulling away on the sixth lap when MacCachren was had to stop to change a flat tire. Baldwin, who was also the fast qualifier for the race and started first Saturday, led physically the entire race although on corrected time he was in a dead heat with MacCachren after three laps and had a 10-second lead after five laps before MacCachren had to stop to change a tire. BFGoodrich is his tire company.

I was careful to make sure I pointed out that precautions were made for the next day. Being the only guy in WTAR that was there this weekend i can say Saturday sucked. Ya know when were racing and not doing well and everyone is stressed and sorta sad? this was like that but worse... Spookily quiet etc... we were all kinda afraid to talk at all...When the trophy truck (the racing truck which the transmission exploded seriously injuring the co-driver) came in on the trailer and we surrounded it with a chase truck and people... they had already rinsed the inside before the pulled it in the pits but i still needed to be cleaned... the hole in the tunnle was gnarly... our surrounding kept people back so no pics got taken etc... there was only on dude with a camera around and he never even pointed it. as quickly as practical, the truck got put away in the tent with the walls in place for privacy... the rest of the details I will keep to myself.

I can say, there was a ten inch vertical hole on the pass side of the tunnel right where his (the seriously injured co-driver) left leg sat...... looked like a huge tear in the metal..it was soo gloomy. everyone wondering about cody, what hospital hes going to, the story kept changing and updating...it was impossible to enjoy youself....""

The Desert Assassins have never had the proper safety shielding needed to protect the co-driver in situations like that occurred this weekend.

But, when drunk-drugged ex-real estate agents can surpass a couple of degenerates in pitching and slinging for half-baked hillbilly pukefests, its time to go and they did.

Roger Norman, owner of the new HDRA race series, wanted the MINT 400 for his series. But, Mad Media, Rasch and Guise conspired to steal the event away from Norman. Norman now finds himself with a lackluster schedule and a bothersome problem, competing against three entrenched racing sanctioning bodies. Who will Norman choose for media services? His pal SurfRat or his slaveholders, Rasch and Guise?

Are Rasch and Guise paying their business taxes? Seriously, with the off-road community in the gutter and foaming at the mouth this year, no-one is putting up with the hilarious sham their so-called coverage reflects. Everybody knows how much they HATE IT when those mind-numbing ads run during their best chance to shine...and they FAIL every time. What tire do you feel like buying after that shit???>>> Anything BUT General and BF Goodrich! Is Guise still interested in getting his family in the middle of a beat down over the MINT 400 ownership?

After General Tires blew-off BJ Baldwin this year, they now have to address the 'quality issues' assigned to the results of their Hoosier built racing truck tires. Will General continue to laddle out the gravy to the racers or focus on quality consumer truck tires? BF Goodrich also has issues. They can see the writing on the wall, Off-Road Racing promotions sell race tires, not consumer tires. What to do? Draw down promotional expenditures in racing, simple.

The owner of SuperLite / Speed Technologies is saying they are not renewing their work with SurfRat and the owner is going though a divorce, limiting Mr. Harrahs passions for dirt racing this year.

The racer yanked out of his Class 1 at the SCORE International San Felipe 250 event, is a criminal of historic dimensions. Who checks these racers-teams out really? NO ONE. They just want the entry fees, the money-dinero-$$$. Now they're taking money from the tourism authority of Mexico to lure YOU - DOWN.

This person was one of the most NOTORIOUS KILLERS IN MEXICO!

Before starting the race, law enforcement authorities from the local cops to the Mexican Navy swooped in and apprehended the 'Blind Man'. Saul Montes de Oca Morlett. Race vehicle number 117. A local race team, with his helmet on and ready to race, the officials guns were shoved into his face and he was ordered out of the race rig. Arrested and flown to Mexico City.

The 'Blind Man' was in charge of a kidnapping and killing cel (group of men) for a major drug trafficking cartel of Baja California Norte. After all the assurances of safety by the authorities, including SCORE, the race sanctioning and promoting body, this killer was racing with all the Americans. Surprised?

Baja Racing News has warned of this situation for YEARS.

""The bodies of two Santa Barbara men who went missing early Sunday morning were found dead Thursday after an exhaustive search of a large swath of desert.
Kern County sheriff's Lt. Steve Hansen said the bodies had been identified as those of Chris Wayne Rice, 29, and Daniel Preddy Carbonaro, 27.
They were found in a steep, rugged ravine about 1 1/2 miles southwest of the sheriff's command post in Randsburg at 12:10 p.m., according to Deputy Victor Keesey.
It was not clear when or how they died.
Rice and Carbonaro had stayed at the Cottage Inn Motel and planned to travel to Cuddeback Dry Lake bed in San Bernardino County, sheriff's spokesman Ray Pruitt has said. They left the motel at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a Polaris Razor XP 900 ATV.
They left their vehicles and other belongings at the motel, and also hadn't taken food, water or heavier clothing, Pruitt has said. Temperatures have been below freezing at night.
Cristina Duran, a good friend of the men and one of hundreds who joined the search, said Rice and Carbonaro lived life to the fullest.
"We're just devastated, but we know they had a smile on their face and were doing what they loved," Duran said late Thursday afternoon.
Carbonaro's sister-in-law, Eve Fox, who had been keeping track of the search from her home in Woodstock, N.Y., wrote an email to The Californian saying, "This is a terrible loss but the outpouring of support and help with the search from friends near and far and locals who volunteered to help has been incredible -- I know it means a great deal to both families."
Hundreds of comments were posted on the "Friends of the Chris Rice and Dan Carbonaro search" Facebook page following the discovery of the bodies.
"Just rode with those guys for the first time a couple weeks ago..very unfortunate," wrote Andrew Morin.
Kristy Davis posted, "Chris was such a kind and friendly person, I will carry that memory of him with me always."
"My heart is officially broken," wrote Katie Funk. "The good really do die way before their time."
Duran said she, Rice, Carbonaro and a few others were staying at the Cottage Inn Motel and the men had been biking during the day. The ATV had arrived that day and Rice and Carbonaro wanted to take it out for a quick ride.
They never came back.
A search including several law enforcement agencies, the Bureau of Land Management and a specialized mine rescue team spread out across the desert starting Sunday morning.
Pruitt said the search encompassed an 1,100-square-mile area and eventually involved hundreds of people, both from law enforcement and friends and other volunteers.
"This desert's so big," Duran said Thursday before the bodies were found.
The rugged terrain and numerous mine shafts dotting the area added to the search's difficulty, Pruitt has said. Randsburg is a town of fewer than 100 residents south of Ridgecrest and east of California City.""

ORIGINAL BREAKING NEWS: ""CALIFORNIA, USA -- The bodies of two ATV enthusiasts missing since Sunday in California's Mojave Desert were found Thursday after a massive search, authorities said.

Kern County, California, sheriff's Lt. Steve Hansen said the bodies of Daniel Preddy Carbonaro, 27, and Chris Wayne Rice, 29, were found and the search was ended. He had no additional details.

Carbonaro and Rice, both of Santa Barbara, California, had traveled to a remote corner of the desert with their girlfriends, hoping to test out Rice's new 2011 Polaris ATV, family members said. The area is popular with "off-roaders," campers and recreational enthusiasts.
"I am so sad to report it is official, Dan and Chris were found deceased," said the search's Facebook page, "Friends of the Chris Rice and Dan Carbonaro search." A memorial fund was set up on the site.

The two young men left a Randsburg, California, hotel about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, telling their girlfriends where they were headed and saying they'd be back within a few hours.

The two planned to travel by ATV about 15 miles to the Cuddeback Dry Lake Bed in San Bernardino County, an expansive and popular "off-roading" area.

It was a "dark, moonless night," said Carbonaro's father, Robert Carbonaro, who worried as the search was under way that the two "may have gotten disoriented."

Carbonaro said he was worried about abandoned gold mine shafts in the area. But Kern County authorities said the bodies were found in a ravine area with rugged, steep terrain.

Agencies participating in the search for the two men included the Kern County Sheriff's Office; the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department; the California Highway Patrol; the Bureau of Land Management; and the Indian Wells Mine Rescue Team.

ENSENADA - For trying to flee and open up the way with the help of an emergency siren (amber color) two subjects aboard a Jeep Liberty were detained last night. Both of the men were employees of Sal Fish, organizer of the Baja 1000 off road races and owner of the vehicle that was used to open the way through other motorists.

This occurred at 7:10PM when municipal police agents saw two subjects driving on calle Primera between Ruiz and Gastélum in the Score International SUV with an amber light beacon. However, this device is only for emergency vehicles and the occupants could not prove they had legal possession of the device.

The white 2006 Jeep Liberty, AKC-2463 license plates, lit up for a moment red and blue LED lights, which are used for official emergency vehicles, which were located on the front of the vehicle to indicate to other vehicles to move over out of the way. The driver was immediately detained, and said his name was Eduardo Torres Negrete, 20-years old, also detained were Jose, 17-years old and Alexandre, 17-years old.

Reported in August 2006 by the DEA, at the time of the arrest: "Now, in addition to that indictment, which as I said was unsealed July 8, 2003, information developed during a 14-month fugitive investigation revealing that AFO leader Francisco Javier Arellano Felix and others were expected to use the fishing vessel Doc Holliday, a U.S. documented vessel. And so, on August 14th, just two days ago, DEA received information that this vessel, Doc Holliday, was approximately 15 nautical miles off the shore of La Paz, Mexico. And acting on this lead the DEA requested that the United States Coast Guard interdict the vessel. Following the interdiction of the vessel in international waters a boarding took place by the US Coast Guard personnel and eight adults and three juveniles were discovered on board and detained.

One of the individuals aboard the vessel, who was traveling under an alias, later identified himself as the same Francisco Javier Arellano Felix that I have described in this indictment. He (was) a CPOT meaning he is a person who has been designated on a Consolidated Priority Organizational Target List."

Francisco Javier had been living in Los Barriles, in Baja Sur, for some time. He made friends there. In fact, one Canadian who made friends with Javier is still in jail, with no hearing, since the arrests in 2006.

Only after the 'Doc Holliday' vessel was captured off of Cerralvo Island with several of the most wanted criminals in Mexico, was the truth of the Baja Sur government known. Not to the public, but by those who are connected in the southern Baja California peninsula.

Baja Sur was/is harboring Chapo Guzman, the Arellano Felix and El TEO Muletas.

Tourists Dead South of San Felipe & Malecon Murders in La Paz

This crime happened in the 'Casablanca' development which is at the KM 5.5 mark, south of San Felipe near Campo San Fernando.

Location, 9 miles south of town, in an empty land development. Both victims were Mexican tourists. Happened Sunday evening. Bodies were found on Monday. Small caliber handgun was used in the killings.

Bodies were dumped, one was dumped on the road, one was on the beach. Brothers were from Sinaloa, Mexico. Happened between 5-6 PM on Sunday.

Puerticitos Bodies Found March 7, 2010

Along the road to the airfield Puerticitos in a little-known field name "White House ", the bullet-ridden bodies were found two male persons of which could not learn much, as it was eight o'clock when due to the remoteness of the place the authorities could do arrive.

Puertecitos for the Municipality of Ensenada, but due to the nearest authorities with St. Philip (San Felipe), were those which came to the place where corroborated that the bodies of two people a few yards distant one other injured were taken by shooting firearm, apparently of small caliber. One body was tied on the beach by the sea, and the other on the road with beer cans around. They were local tourists who reported the presence of men stranded.

The area of the "White House" is located on the road between San Felipe and Puertecitos, where agents San Felipe's first on the scene and corroborate the findings to staff la Policía Police Ministerial Ministerial. No one could could reach the place night and more night unable to extract the bodies, and almost before night that ended the expert whose results were announced.

Witnesses said that even with the light of day was seen leaving the place a white car, without knowing more details and without corroborating it had to do with the case.

Car number 300 that is usually kept for the title holder will finally be present at the start of the 2012 Dakar. It will indeed be set on a Hummer that Nasser Al Attiyah will be driving for Team Robby Gordon, with Lucas Cruz as his co-driver.

"As of now, everyone will know where Qatar is on the map of the world", those were the words of Nasser Al Attiyah after capturing his first victory on the Dakar last January in Buenos Aires. Achieving his dream after a fantastic battle with team mate Carlos Sainz, the flying Qatari was forced to settle with the strategic choices of Volkswagen that left him without a steering wheel after retiring from off-road rallies. Always keen for new projects, Al Attiyah bounced back once again in style and will live a rather busy 2012 year, including a WRC season, the London Olympics in shooting and of course a mouth-watering start with the Dakar where he will defend his title in a … Hummer!

What Will Jeep and Robby Gordon Bring To DAKAR?

SPEED Energy athlete Robby Gordon navigated this modified 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8, in the Bullrun USA Rallyway cross country this past summer from July 9th through the 15th, Vegas to Miami.

In prior statements Robby Gordon declared that the Hummer look-a-like (and also Hummer sponsored) vehicle will retire and there are new developments for the 2012 Dakar Rally. Most likely Gordon Motorsports will “re-skin” the vehicle adapting to the next vehicle sponsor. With Gordon attached to Chrysler in Nascar a vehicle out of the FIAT/Chrysler/Jeep stable, is anticipated.

Maserati SUV to be built in Detroit unveiled. A new Maserati vehicle in the sport luxury SUV segment was presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. Maserati says it's a natural progression for its product range. Fiat’s Maserati Kubang, the SUV that Chrylser-owner Fiat plans to “import from Detroit.” The Porsche-Cayenne fighter is to be built alongside Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos at Chrysler’s Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said last December that a Maserati SUV based on the same platform, but with a “fundamentally Ferrari-based” powertrain, will be made in Detroit in 2012. Marchionne wants to expand Fiat’s Maserati and Alfa Romeo brands by drawing on Fiat and Chrysler’s combined size to boost profit.

The Jeep Mazdaerati?

The highly-anticipated Maserati Kubang concept has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Designed in-house, the Jeep Grand Cherokee-based model has a prominent grille, front fender vents and LED headlights. Further back, a sloping roofline leads to a uniquely styled tailgate which will undoubtedly cause visceral reactions.

The company declined to release specifications, but said the production model will be "100% Maserati" with a next-generation engine produced by Ferrari. It will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission which promises to deliver an engaging driving experience. Additionally, the suspension, brakes and steering system will be unique to the luxurious sport crossover.

While the original Kubang was a Giorgetto Giugiaro design, the update was done by Maserati’s in-house designer Lorenzo Ramaciotti. Other than the exterior and the well-known reliance on the Jeep Grand Cherokee/Dodge Durango platform, Maserati would only say the Kubang will have an unspecified Maranello-built engine backed by an 8-speed transmission.

Will FIAT/Jeep let Robby Gordon drive their new monster in DAKAR? After rolling his race truck twice at the recent BAJA 1000 in November, Gordon hasn't been ON his game recently.

The platform on which the Grand Cherokee and Durango SUV are built has some links to the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class, which was started as a joint program during the DaimlerChrysler era. Jefferson North currently employs 2,685 hourly and 145 salaried workers on two shifts. Both the Grand Cherokee and Durango are selling very well.

The Maserati project would broaden the integration of Chrysler and Fiat, which owns 53.5% of the U.S. automaker.
