The Magical Baja Peninsula is illustrated in cuisine, in "El Taste".
The film uncovers the inspiration, flavours and ever-evolving identity behind the unique Baja Californian cuisine. Some of the best chefs take us from field to table, showing us the secrets behind how they grow, prepare and present their dishes, and the influences behind them. We get to know some talented and pioneering chefs that will show us how they grow their own produce, hunt for their meat, shop for their secret ingredients, and the story behind what inspires them, and how they’re collectively building the identity of Baja Californian cuisine. This is not only a program about cooking, it’s a rare look into Baja Californian people and their love for fantastic food.
The Magical Pueblo, Todos Santos, Baja Sur, Mexico, shows a big message in this modern film.
A multi-billion dollar American development is poised to engulf a small coastal community in Mexico with a mega hotel/condo complex. But local people are banding together to save their way of life and the delicate ecosystem on which they all depend.
