All German Effort Ready for Baja 1000


Martin Christensen and All German Motorsports (AGM) will team with famed WRC Rally racing talents Armin Schwarz and Matthias Kahle in pursuit of the overall win at the 40th running of the Tecate Score Baja 1000 to be held November 12 through 16, 2007. Armin Schwarz and Matthias Kahle join past Baja 1000 winner Martin Christensen in this year’s 1300 mile off–road race from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas. AGM will be running in the SCORE Class 1 Unlimited Buggy classification with a 2005 Jimco / BMW M5.“We are very excited about the incredible range of driving skills that Schwarz and Kahle will bring to the team,” says driver and owner of AGM, Martin Christensen. “The combination of racing talents, our extensive Baja experience and a dedicated team of 40 volunteers will provide a level of ability normally afforded to only the most generously sponsored teams,” Christensen continues.Armin Schwarz, 44, Monte Carlo, Monaco is a World Rally Championship (WRC)driver for driving factory Skoda Fabia. Throughout his 20 year professional racecareer, Armin has won numerous World Championships. Armin has been rallying throughout the world for more than 20 years and has been a sponsored professionally since the mid-eighties. Armin will be starting the race in Ensenada with Bryan Lyttle, Chief Engineer and navigator in the co-pilot’s seat.Martin Christensen, 39, Escondido, California, AGM owner and 2002 & 2003 Class 10 Champion and winner of 2004 Primm 300 and Baja 1000 in Class 10. Martin will jump into the race car at Bay of LA with Chris Ames as co-driver and navigator and hand the car off to Matthias in Loreto.Matthias Kahle, 38, Cologne, Germany – is a 6 time WRC Rally Champion who is also a factory driver for Skoda Fabia. Matthias has been racing in the WRC Series since 1993. Sam Osman will be co-driving and navigating with Matthias on the final section of the race.AGM’s BMW entry has been strengthened by a technology sponsorship fromDinan Cars, Inc. with the addition of a professionally worked M5 V8 powerplant,which has been matched to the chassis and the new XTrac 6 Speed Sequential Transmission for optimal efficiency – adding 100 horse power -- and high reliability.
