DASH 200, Baja Racing News LIVE! Event Thursday, December 31

The MDR Bud Light Dash at Plaster City. This year’s race is set to start Thursday morning at Plaster City West. The year will end with a bang as more than 100 entries and thousands of spectators are expected at the MDR Production’s Bud Light Dash, the finale of the Superstition Championship Series at Plaster City West, on Thursday.
For local racer Shawn McCallum, Thursday’s race will decide whether he gets his second class championship of the year or not. “We’re in a tight battle in the class 1 points with the McMillins,” McCallum said. McCallum leads the class by a few points with Daniel McMillin close behind. McCallum already secured the class championship in the newly formed local DRIVE Off-Road Racing Series. He’s looking for his second championship of the year. “Now we’re just trying to back it up with the MDR series in the same year,” McCallum said. To do so, McCallum will need to not only finish but beat McMillin. “We need to have a good strong finish on Thursday,” McCallum said.
“Come race day, we need to beat them to secure our championship.” The MDR Web site stated it had 135 entries as of Tuesday. Thousands of spectators have always poured out in previous years for the race. “There’s already a lot of people out there,” McCallum said. The DASH 200 is the first race of the 2010 Baja Racing Season on BajaRacingNews.com The race is set to start at 8:30 a.m.

Take Dunaway Road exit and head north Turn left on Evan Hewes Highway to head west Turn right into the Plaster City East OHV area or pass the plant and turn right into the Plaster City West OHV area.

Mag-7 will be supporting the Dash on new Years Eve with two full-service pits placed at the approximate 1/3 and 2/3 points of the course.
MAG 7 will have an admin pit set up on pit row for sign-ups and to drop spare's off. Look for the Mag-7 banners and rotating yellow safety beacons.
MAG 7 will be on-site mid-day Wed the 30th and will set up an admin presence next to MDR at the start-finish.
MAG 7 crews will be leaving pit row bright and early on the 31st to head out to our pit locations. Be sure to drop off spares the night before.
On New Years Day MAG-7 and MDR will be sponsoring a Dash-survivors pancake breakfast from 8am until 9:30 AM. This is for all racers, crew and family. Come on by for Coffee, pancakes and all the other good stuff before you head up to the awards ceremony at 10. You will find MDR's own Patricia and Stephanie serving breakfast and Mag-7 will be flipping pancakes on the big grill for you.
