What We Can Do - We Should Do, An Editorial By Gary Newsome

Thank God, no one was hurt in this BAJA 1000.

What I mean to say, is we were very lucky that none of the public was hurt as a result of the racing here in Baja Mexico, during this historic and exciting race!

Here's what we can do. We can work more closely with the Civil Protection Departments throughout the magical peninsula, Baja Mexico. By that, I mean all of us in racing, should extend our hands to the people responsible for protecting the public, during our racing events in Mexico.

Here's what we should do. We should create strategies and functions to better protect the crowds of people who are drawn to engage in our events as participants, fans and witness the greatest sport in the world!

BajaRacingNews.com is dedicated to this goal. The more all of us accomplish in this respect, the greater this sport can be lifted to the heavens through the care of people who care about its activities, the greater the capacity for economic gain, in conducting ourselves in the sport.
