American off-road racer goes berserk at Tijuana-San Ysidro Border

UPDATED! May 15, 2019:

The off-road racer accused of driving his pickup truck into pedestrians and vehicles Tuesday in northbound traffic lanes headed into the U.S. from Tijuana has been identified as 29-year-old Frank Eddie Stricker.

Stricker is reportedly, part owner of WGAS Motorsports. Stricker was being held in Tijuana, Mexico, on suspicion of attempted homicide and damage of property after his pickup truck drove into cars and street vendors just south of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Reports from Tijuana indicate there was no Road Rage. The WGAS Motorsports racer was reported to the Tijuana Police Department with a knife around the throat of a Mexican citizen in Tijuana when he was spotted by patrol policeman and made a run for the border.

Surveillance video from the Mexican side of the border, shows the racer careening through the border traffic and smashing through street vendors.

Original Reporting:

Two people in a Utah-registered truck crashed into vendors and other vehicles on the Tijuana side of the U.S.-Mexico border at the San Ysidro Port of Entry Monday, Televisa reported. The two Americans in a black Chevy truck with Utah license plates started a fight with a pedestrian about 3 p.m. at Boulevard Gral Manuel Márquez de León and Paseo de los Héroes, according to Televisa, which cited Tijuana Police Chief Mario Martinez. Minutes after the fight, the suspects drove to the border crossing where they struck more than 15 vehicles waiting to cross into the United States and ran over 15 vendors, the news agency reported.

Witness to U.S.-Mexico border crash describes chaos in Tijuana. Four people were injured, including one with severe injuries, Martinez told Televisa.

Reportedly, thirty Mexicans chased down the truck and beat the man and woman into a bloody pulp. The mob would have killed them, if it were not for the police, who arrived and broke up the lynching.

The suspects, in the road rage, were a man and woman, American off-road racers, Televisa report. The two were arrested and taken to the hospital. There was no word on a possible motive for the crash, or whether the suspects were under the influence.

The rest of the crowd, the Mexicans who were about to kill the perps, were not even questioned.

Lesson here, kill or be killed. So, make sure you kill.
