BFGoodrich has cancelled its participation in this event!
Monster Energy Drink is not letting its employees travel so they are out for the race.
Polaris is not letting its employees travel so they are out for the race.
Should Monster and Polaris be required to pay their sponsorship fee if they can't attend and activate?
Baja Racing News anticipates this race will not be a 'forced' cancellation. Therefore, lots of UNPAID EXPENSES!
This report directly from SCORE:
- The mechanical inspection will now be behind closed doors at the El Dorado Ranch facilities, as well as the registration of pilots and the media.
- The teams will only be required to parade on the San Felipe pier for the start of the race.
- The award ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, has been canceled.
- The winning teams will be able to collect their trophies at El Dorado Ranch on Sunday.
- A survey is currently being carried out with pilots of the TT, Class and TT Spec classes to find out if they wish to continue with the qualification.
The teams are now voting, If YES this will take place on Thursday morning and not on Wednesday as originally scheduled, if the answer is NO, all categories will enter the draw for next week.
