****Fourth Race Report
The sad ending to the Dave Cole KOH T1 Trophy and Trick Truck competition that started in 2019.
Originally started as a stand alone event, now is gone because the T1 racers no longer trust Cole to produce the huge cash payoff, the numbers of racers dropped from over 50 sign-ups in 2019 to less than 10 this year, 2021.
This year, Dave got pissed, because of the lack of inscriptions, so he destroyed his own concept. From a stand alone, one class of truck race with a huge cash winning for the overall winner has turned into a tale about the rich desert racers who own this class of truck.
Dave has decided that because no trophy-trick trucks want to play his game any longer, the few that attended his event this year are today, Sunday, January 31, at 10 AM PST to be exact, forced to race with all the other classes. They are paying the price of Dave's lack of vision and care for his customers.
The 'challenge' being run today, is an abortion of Dave Coles original concept. No huge purse for the winner and forced to run with all of the 'lower' classes, outside of the well-known, established rules, he himself made. He promised the T1 racers the framework, we have discussed here in this reporting, EXCLUSIVE! to BajaRacingNews.com.
About the lack of T1 inscriptions, one theory is most of these TT (T1) guys are afraid of being on the big screen and everyone seeing how actually slow they are. Its way cooler to say you own a Trophy Truck to all your friends then get shown up on the course.
Actually (for real) racing where everyone can see how slow you are is not building those TT egos. I don't know the percentage of truck owners that are like this but I bet its a majority. They only want to race races that a finish is good enough.
"The original concept of this challenge isn't about finishing, its the big show race where we get to see who is really fast and who is a poser hobbyist".
It takes a certain type of personality to have the balls to buy and for real desert racing a TT. But that same personality is often so ego driven and insecure, they shy away from 'real race' exposures.
In the business, its called, "More money than brains". That quote is best cited to the late, great Bob Van Wormer of Los Barriles, Baja Mexico. From the Mark Post plane crash on Bob's property, now a golf course, what was Bob's original air strip into his resort, Las Palmas.
The Las Palmas golf course is there now, because a drunk Mark Post crashed his airplane into a wall on takeoff, at the resort.
The Post crash was the 'last straw', Bob was tired of the drunk gringo pilots crashing his air strip. Shortly thereafter, Bob transformed the land from his historic strip to a golf course, to end the damaging gringo airplane shenanigans!
Dave Coles Nitto Tire sponsorship has also shriveled up. Dave admitted the fact live online, saying his event no-longer has Nitto as a sponsor.

Reporting from Drunk KrunkTown
Drunk Pirate Lance Clifford Reporting***Third Race Report
How I, Drunk Pirate Lance Clifford, was the brainchild of king of hammers and ultra racing fame.
"Well, I grew up in California, Northern California in the Sacramento area to be exact. And, got into four-wheeling. You know, in my early teenage years in high school in the Bay Area, actually, I had a 1979 Datsun pickup, two-wheel drive, and all my friends had big jacked up Chevys that I loved, I went to school at a rich high school where everyone was driving Mercedes and BMWs and jacked up Chevys, that their mom and dad’s bought them. Mine was no different.
I had my 1979 Datsun that I got from my parents for my birthday. And there was a big mud puddle behind the school and every one after school would go bomb through this mud puddle in their Chevys. And I like, said screw it, man, I’m gonna do it. And I went for it, got stuck in the middle of the mud puddle and blew up the engine and had to fix it in auto shop, pretty much from that day forward I considered myself an inbred, trumpster. And I was like, that was, it was like, oh, this is awesome! You know, I blew up my engine and my dad kicked my ass and I had to change out the engine in auto shop with every dollar I owned. But that was it".
I told Dave Cole how to do the event, that was the start, but now
he's blown the concept to hell, that's why Dave only has five Trophy
Trucks (T1) for this years cage-match challenge event and why he's blown
off the Nitto Tire brand. Nitto blew off Dave this year (2021) and held
back their sponsorship dollars because of his mistakes. The whole thing
has just a couple of days to go, then it's over".
**Second Race Report When
this race was first organized and promoted, there was a huge purse
offered. No longer. Also, there were tons of entries. No longer, we're
lucky there are 10 T1 entries for this years events.
*First Race Report Mask wearing? Social distancing? Testing?
Hell no! Not from the most rancid anti-social, non-conformists convention on the West coast of North America! Last year, during the start of the outbreak, we had thousands of people laying on top of each other, here at KrunkTown.
The intent of the organizers this year is to pay off the stooge BLM badges, to allow us to fuck each each other into virus oblivion. We'll have photos & videos here to prove it, through the racing festivities.
Mas y Mas
Here's Dave Cole and the Viral Crew offering alcoholic drinks to the petri-dish that are his off-road productions.
