BFGoodrich Tires Orgy turns into Disaster Series of Dusty Lamentable Incidents 

UPDATED! December 8, 2021

One person was killed and two were seriously injured when a loose tire on a Baja Racing Truck, Larry Roeseler's Number 43 - Baja Jerky - BFGoodrich Tires sponsored, Mad Martelli Brothers Media Mint 400, flew off the truck, it was a spare, and struck three people in spectator area number 3, during the racing competition.

First reports indicated the loose tire was known to be a safety threat earlier in the race. Bob Bowers, a spokesman for BFGoodrich Tires, acknowledged the safety threat. 

Reports also indicate, the Mad Martelli Media Mint 400 race organizers knew of the safety threat and did nothing to rectify the situation, prior to the disaster occurring.

The threat was so widely known before it happened, that on the 'livestream' of the event proceedings it was stated in public by the organizing management that, "I believe the LIVE commentators noticed the loose spare tire on a truck coming thru the infield whoops - "the spare tire WILL come off eventually", said Bob Bower, the race event management asserted BFGoodrich Tires expert and livestream commentator. 

Bowers went on to say, "Man...sure enough, a spare tire detached Larry Roeselers' Baja Racing Truck during a high-speed section, next to spectator area number three"

One racing expert was overheard to say "can someone confirm that this was the area for paid spectators?"

Payment for spectating would establish the area was established as "safe" for the spectators   occupation and there would have been an expectation of safety. A safe environment for kids and older people.

The expert went on to proclaim during the high-speed racing proceedings , "then, the spectators and their spectator area was WAY too close to the race course! - Someone is going to get KILLED!"

As the two leaders of this high-speed desert off-road race were coming to a close, Luke McMillin made a big mistake.

When Rob Mac began hitting his horn, then started to move on Luke, Luke failed to understand Rob wanted the win and would do ANYTHING to accomplish his goal.

Clearly, Luke never got the kindy teachings everyone gets in this country. It is taught, "To share".

Rob wanted Luke to pull over and GIVE Rob the win!

So, this event came on the heels of Luke and Rob Mac teaming for the Baja 1000 last month. 

Rob must have felt that this was "his race", because Rob clipped Luke intentionally and rolled his 'team-mate'. The move took Luke out of the lead and onto his lid.

The classic off-road racing, pit-maneuver, is the way a 'hall-of-famer' like Rob Mac, moves a slower driver, well, just 'out-of-the-way. Simple!

Of course, doing this on an uneven, desert dirt race course, the 'pitee', has a high likelihood of rolling. Which did happen.

This 'maneuver' is a movement or combination of movements involving skill and dexterity. Controlled changes in movement and 'a tap on the rear of racer' to change the direction of a moving racing vehicle that is in front of the competitor performing the "pit".

All professional drivers have been taught, practiced and use this move in desert off-road racing.

Every member of our reporting crew, here in Ensenada has gone through the CHP training.

Professionals.

Now, whether someone is capable and willing to perform the task is another matter. Because the 'pitee' is not going to be happy. 

The pitee, must be capable and willing to make moves to avoid the pit. They have no control, if, they don't perform moves to avoid the pit.  

It was very nice that Rob stopped to ensure Luke and his co-dog were OK. However, when one performs this move in a desert off-road race, within sight of the finish line, in the dark of night, they mean business. 

Real Racing Business!

Especially when a team-mate member of 'the McMillin clan', is the pitee.

We might add here, the 'paying' McMillin clan from the 2021 November Baja 1000 partnership between Rob Mac and Luke, cough-cough McMillin clan.

That's why Rob was crying at the finish line! All those support dollars from the McMillions, GONE!

Maybe it was all that Mark McMillin (Lukes father) yapping at the finish line in La Paz, "(We) McMillins have won greater than 25% of all the Baja (or Baja 1000) races in the last 20 years", or something to that effect.

[Editors note: It was gross. Mark, little note from your friends here, you can blab all you want about "wins", just mention how much, in real American dollars, it cost you, Grandpa and Scott to accomplish your, "wins", when you do your flappin'.]

Maybe Rob was hearing and seeing in his minds-eye, throughout the race that day, the replay of Mark spewing and spewing and spewing, during the Mint 400...in Las Vegas...Robs playground?

And perhaps Rob decided that, nope, not today!

We were, all the way down here in Ensenada, Mexico and we saw it!

Considering everything, really, everything. Rob actually did the RIGHT thing. Honestly, isn't it better to roll Luke, Marks son, rather than to punch Mark in the face?
