"917 PM PDT Wed Sep 7 2022 .SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...Hurricane Kay will approach the far SE portion from the S near 27.5N 114.7W at 5 PM PDT Thu then weaken to a tropical storm as it moves NW to near 29.5N 116.0W at 5 AM PDT Fri, to 30.9N 117.4W at 5 PM PDT Fri, and to 31.6N 119.0W by 5 AM PDT Sat. The cyclone will then move to 31.5N 119.8W while becoming a post-tropical low by 5 PM PDT Sat. Post- tropical Kay will then drift SW and then S while slowly weakening Sat night into Mon. See the latest NHC advisory on Kay. Otherwise, high pressure NW of the waters will strengthen tonight into Thu night. A low pressure trough will strengthen along the California coast tonight through Fri. Low pressure will form just N of the area Sat and Sat night, then move N Sun into Mon night. $$
