"An amazing life was lost 05/20/2023 , He was a father, a husband , a son. His life was tragically stolen from us in an act of violence where he was an innocent bystander. Isaias was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time who unfortunately died running for his own life. He was one of twenty victims this weekend at the Ensenada (SCORE International Baja 500 pre-run) San Vincente, Baja Norte, tragedy.

He was a very kind soul, very generous, an amazing father, and husband. Isaias whom would occasionally Organize groups and would go downtown and feed homeless people out of the kindness of his heart. Our family was not prepared for any tragedy to happen any donations would be very appreciated. With permission from his wife we are asking for donations as extraditing his body out of Ensenada back to San Diego will be expensive as well as funeral and burial expenses. Any remaining donations will go directly to his wife and daughter to whom he leaves behind.

Words from his wife : “Roberto had a big heart and was an exemplary person. Roberto along with his wife would organize charity events between their friends and spread kindness to the homeless in downtown San Diego, often distributed stacks of food and necessities. He was always a helping hand to others in need. He was very loving, smiling, generous, . His passing affected many in our family and his friends , he was loved by many. Not all the victims were involved in any criminal organization, as some news outlets say. It was a (UTV) event where many were attending from many places. And unfortunately the assailants took innocent people in between. He was 22 years old and his life was taken away prematurely and he won't see his 4-year-old girl grow up. He was a very hardworking person, and a semi-truck driver in the United States. His family will always remember him forever as "The Cheerful Boy".

From the tragedy authorities took everything he had on him and have no intentions of giving it back[.] $900 cash, cards, keys to his car and Can Am (UTV) .

The only thing they left on his body was a bracelet, he was a healthy young man who always took his time and spent it with his daughter and wife for whom he always fought for and wanted a better future for. Having a Can Am (UTV) that was always a dream he had to which he was able to get purchased a few days before. His 4 year old daughter is still waiting for her "super hero daddy" to come home. And there are no words on how to tell her that he won't be coming back”".
