The men and women of Baja Racing News over the many years of reporting, have risked their lives in the line of duty, reporting from Mexico on the exploits of the desert racing community and the criminal cartels of North America.

Gary Newsome, former publisher of the information printing enterprise announced this morning, the time has come to sell and move out of Mexico.
"I look forward to retirement", said the long-time writer, editor and ultimately publisher of the multi-decade journalistic venture.

"Every possible threat has been made against the real-story getting out to the world, from Baja Mexico, behind the scenes, the inside reporting, about this hobby-sport and all the people involved".
"The value of saving lives cannot be measured", Gary said, in his exit interview conducted before the sun rose on the downtown area of Ensenada, Thursday morning.
