Honoring a canine hero! Maverick!, a therapy dog for the U.S. Army Fort Leonard Wood USO Center in Missouri, was named Canine of the Year by The Humane Society of the United States. For the past 6 years, Maverick has worked with service members and military children, supporting them through difficult times, demonstrating unconditional love and guiding them towards healing.
