No-one in the outside press has reported on the 5x crash and the ongoing lack of SCORE safety helicopter for the motos.

Baja 500 2015, saw the 5x Team of Ray Dal Soglio, Justin Jones and Mark Samuels took charge on its CRF450X.
Having drawn the first starting position for the Baja 500, the Honda led for just over 90 miles before Jones had a head-on with a local who was apparently unaware the race had started and was driving backwards on the course in his truck.

The race sanctioner, SCORE International, owned by Roger Norman is sucking off Clyde Stacy (The Coal Baron) and RPM. The gift starting position for RPM at the BajaSur event and now allowing RPM to walk after crashing a civilian vehicle.
Safety is not the No.1 priority. Money is the Priority.
Roger Norman said, "Ratings for the TV program is priority number 1".
Baja race spectators are merely speed-bumps in Roger Normans SCORE. Despite prima facie [on first view-on its face] violations of international law during these events, Norman has shown himself to be a black-hole in spectator safety. His obvious irresponsibility is now threatening the sport.
The sport of Baja racing is increasing in mindless-Death-Worship upon the glaring online videos and pictures of innocent human beings, run-over, struck and seriously injured and killed. The two changes over the last few years is clearly the propagation of visibility on the internet and image technology in the hands of every spectator of these horrific incidents.
Race derived incidents have been happening in desert off-road racing for over 100 years! That's why the sport is much different in the United States and around the civilized globe.

Now, after some time of Rogers ownership of SCORE, we know what he values. We also know his lack of action regarding basic public safety. A public investigation is needed to inspect the lack of programming between SCORE and the State of Baja California Civil Protection Department (Protección Civil Baja California).
The Racers Don't Know How To Drive! When they make mistakes, they refuse to take responsibility.
One race team member (reporter) from this weekend told us:
"It is getting out of control and that means it will be needed by US acting badly. Case in point- We were pitting on Hwy 2 about 10 miles past the turnoff from the dirt. A 60 mph speed zone on pavement. We set our pit off the pavement in a wide spot with good visibility as the racers came down from a small hill. A team in Trophy Truck decided that the 2 semis and 3 cars were just too much of a hinderance and took to the dirt to the south to try a pass, starting on the other side of the hill where they had no visibility of what was ahead. As he came over the hill, he could not return to the roadway as it was filled with plenty of civilian cars, so he stayed pinned in the grass as he approached the 6 foot deep 10 foot wide concrete culvert that he didn't know was there. The tire markes and color from the beadlock were well defined in the concrete wall as it hit and got tossed sideways headed for us in our pit.
Fortunately only one guy rolled his ankle as we dove over our chairs for safety. Well back from the marked course, off the pavement.
Fortunately we didn't have a car in the pit, it would have gotten hammered. Because a big name team couldn't stay on the highway and tried to pass 5 cars over a blind hill because about 58mph wasn't fast enough.
When it does happen, the sport becomes short-course only. Think about it."
Mark Weyhrich (TSCO Racing) admits it was him!:
"That was me, for the record and your recount is way, way off. If you guys were diving out of the way, you should be on Broadway, because you are full of drama.
We were nowhere near you, because as you say you were well off the course, and I was in complete control of the truck at all times. Yes, I was pinned, but I have a speed limiter set to 57 mph, so that is the absolute fastest I was going. So I would also that I didn't clear a 10' wide gap at only 57 mph. It was much smaller than that.
I am racing and I am there to win. The risks are mine to take. The only people in any type of danger, and it was minimal, were me and Ryan.
If you want to talk crap about me, you had better have your facts damned straight, because you know I will."
The reporter responds:
"I figured you KNEW EXACTLY what I was talking about. If you were so in control and it was so non-drama filled and I didn't call you out by name, then why even reply? Your irresponsible move and disregard for accepting it as dangerous just prove that you DGAF about others as long as you save 12 seconds. The guy with the twisted ankle, who you KNOW wants to see the video. We are sure you have it. Not anywhere near us? 2 more feet and you would have taken out the table full of tools."
Mark responds regarding the 'Finish Line' incident, pictured in the video below:
"Mine was not a "Move", it was a mistake on my part and freaked me out! All I had were rear brakes and I thought I judged it the same as I did on all the previous asphalt turns coming into the finish (I did not blow any of those). Unfortunately, that corner was substantially more slippery than the others. I am very lucky and grateful that I did not hurt anyone."

Steven Eugenio, Dakar Challenge Winner, Baja 500
On a particularly rough route this year, the 510 mile race around Ensenada had all the technical difficulties that can be found on a “Dakar” and it was Steven Eugenio who came out on top of the Dakar Challenge, in 8th place overall, after 9h31m of racing and just 25 minutes behind the overall winner (Apdaly Lopez).
Neither Bryce Menzies nor Robert Acer was able to finish this ultra-selective course that took a toll on the vehicles. Steven Eugenio, 2014 SCORE Champion and his team mate, former WRC competitor, Armin Schwarz, will compete in next year's Dakar. "Eight people were run over by the vehicle number 1089 in the vicinity of the starting area of the Baja 500 confirmed municipal Public Security sources who attended the accident.
The first information indicates that those injured by one of the participating vehicles are four children and four adults who were hit in the first and Floresta, shortly before the area down to Arroyo Ensenada.
The injured were identified as:
Mariana Trujillo Anguiano 8 years old.
Jose Alejandro Trujillo 5 years old.
Manuel Leyva 4 years old.
Nicolas Omar Estrada 8 years old.
Adolfo Aldez 64 years.
Aime Sofia Romero 18 years.
Leandro Solis Arsula 50 years old.
Nicolas Estrada Mora 54 years old.
All being served by Red Cross personnel were aware but with numerous scratches and bruises on various parts of the body.

A loss of vehicle control racing a few meters from the exit to the impact on people who enjoyed the event in safety zone is the expertise municipal transit after an accident in the Baja 500 in which eight people were injured.
The official report indicates that at 11:00 am, the vehicle was traveling Racer Class 10, model 2006, blue color, with the number 1089 on the right lane of the Avenida Floresta, enabled via Baja 500 race.
Meters before reaching the cruise irregular shape with the Lopez Mateos avenue, the driver lost control of the drive and direction to draw a diagonal to the right.
With this move unchecked, it hits the front with a metal object Telnor property, located on the same avenue Floresta.
He continued his career forward and hit the left front side of a wooden pole, owned by Telnor, and simultaneously a metal pole with meter, owned by the City.
These objects struck 04 pedestrians were located on the east sidewalk of the Forest Avenue.
The race car continued its path on the sidewalk and entered the ship in question (Floresta and Lopez Mateos) to hit the middle right side against other 04 pedestrian and bicycle located behind the zone marked with yellow tape.
With the accident wooden post Telnor that hit the race car, he fell on the upper middle right side on a Nissan Pathfinder, 2014 model, white color, which was parked vehicle.
After impact, he moved to the 8 injured (pedestrians) for the Velmar care clinic.
Also the driver of the vehicle Racer Class 10, model 2006, Arnoldo Gutierrez Gonzalez, 26 years old, was taken for medical clearance resulting in no external injuries and was later made available to the Public Prosecutor of the Common Jurisdiction for being suspect damage to property and injuries."

"I am VERY surprised there wasn't any major accidents on the Hwy3 @ 60mph sections.
That was the most dangerous highway racing we've done since the '80's when we'd race non-limited from the Riviera Convention Center ALL the way to Ojos after a short dirt canyon and popping out on Hwy3 by KM 11 or when there was the 2-way race traffic thru San Matias. Actually this race might have been more dangerous considering the advancement of the C1's and TT's."
One racer, Mark Weyhrich of TSCO racing told BajaRacingNews.com, "I know I wasn't the only one thinking 60 mph was insane in/out of town on Hwy.3. I voiced my concern to (Roger Norman/SCORE International) via text on Thursday (he didn't appreciate my criticism toward Score online last year and requested I call him personally, so text it was) in hopes it would be lowered. But, crickets like I expected."
Bench Racer Trey Piersall told BajaRacingNews.com: " (I) Saw the whole thing. The guy was coming so hot that we backed off from where we were 50 ft up course. He hit the brakes hard, broke the rear loose and over compensated, and then did it again in the counter steer all while brakes were locked. At that point he was f***ed. Talent was weak in this one."
One observer told BajaRacingNews.com:
"it looked like the car never rolled as I was originally told and reported. in the paper the next day they stated 8 people hurt. the driver of the race car was taken to jail. our hotel manager went past the police station later that afternoon (im guessing about 4:00pm) and said the race car was still at the police station. it was towed there by the police. on sunday while sitting by the hotel I see a couple walking by that were wearing the race teams shirts that were involved in this accident. I asked them some questions and their response was basically SCORE took care of everything."
For accuracy, the 'insurance company' probably 'took care of things'. Our observation of the new SCORE is that they AVOID ALL 'UNWANTED' RESPONSIBILITY.
ORIGINAL RACE HEADLINE *5x CRASHED INTO TRUCK! BROKEN FEMUR! In SanDiego Hospital
Justin Jones, 5x was reported down, early in the race. SCORE's "Facebook" reported at the time of the events, "a helicopter is heading to bike 5x".
Which also means THERE WAS NO SCORE LEAD SAFETY HELICOPTER IN THIS EVENT! 20 years after the Danny Hamel death accident, by the very same means (lead bike runs into wrong way truck on the race course).
One report confirms there was no chopper with the lead bike in this race.

Ricky Brabec received credit for winning a race on the same day in another country. As the Rider of Record at the SCORE Baja 500, he received a one-race exemption from having to start or finish the venerable race in Baja California, Mexico, in order to earn points. Thus, he let his Monster Energy/THR Motorsports/Precision Concepts teammates Max Eddy, Jr., Justin Morgan and Ian Young do the work south of the border.
Brabec was at the National Hare & Hound in the United States. The reigning series champ (and points leader going into the race) Brabec crashed hard in the opening miles of round six near Snowville, Utah, and suffered a broken collarbone, broken hand, broken foot and broken neck. He’s had a successful surgery day yesterday on his neck, hand and collarbone. The good news is that there were no signs of paralysis and the series takes its traditional summer break so if he can heal in two and a half months, he won’t miss the next race in Panaca, Nevada. Former Baja racer Ivan Ramirez is now racing Hare & Hound in the US, after the SCORE Kurt Caselli death. FMF KTM Factory Off-road Racing Team’s Ivan Ramirez is not returning to race with SCORE in Baja.
With Ox Motorsports Honda’s Colton Udall also receiving an excused absence from Hare & Hound, since he was racing even farther away on the weekend, he relied on Ray Dal Soglio, Justin Jones and Mark Samuels to take charge on the number 5X CRF450X. Due to the injury and bike damage, the team DNFed, though with two wins it should maintain its position atop the series points chart.
Morgan took the 1X KX450F into the lead after that and the trio kept the bike off the ground and in front the rest of the way to repeat last year’s victory and make this THR’s third Baja 500 win, having also finished first in 2012.
“It’s a huge victory for us because we’ve had some bad luck this year,” Eddy proclaimed at the finish. "I crashed in [the] San Felipe [250] and took us out of the race and we didn’t finish the SCORE Baja Sur 500 so to come back up here and have a flawless day was good. We didn’t push hard and rode our own race and got to the podium first. Everyone did their job with no problems or issues.”
Their winning time was 10 hours, nine minutes and 55 seconds for the 511 miles, a 50.23 MPH average speed. That put them just over 30 minutes ahead of the Unlimited Pro and overall motorcycle runners-up Raul Hernandez/Miguel Munoz/Ricardo Munoz/Rodolfo Patron/Larry Serna who finished in 10:42:02 on their KTM 450 XC-W.
Third overall and first Class 40 belonged to Jano Montoya/Gerardo Rojas/Kirk Russell/Francisco Septien who stopped the clocks at 10:47:55 on their 450 XC-W.
