The accident took place when our Class 1 car was shaken by SCORE officers in an area controlled by SCORE, where the driver's duty is to follow SCORE's instructions. Even though our pilot simply followed SCORE's instructions, SCORE denies any liability on behalf of him or his contractors. We were in the final stages of our preparations for the 2020 Baja 1000 when SCORE informed us that we would not be allowed to race. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to our volunteers, partners, and fans. We are obviously disappointed by this sudden and disappointing decision by current SCORE owners. More Bad News, It's All Closed!
Dominic Clark, official mouthpiece for Score International indicated that the contingency and mechanical review of the 53rd edition of the Baja 1000 in Ensenada will be closed without access to fans, following the health protocols against Covid-19 that have been requested by the Government of Baja California.
