SUNDAY SPECIAL!
DATELINE: The FORD Media Rip-Off
Gary Newsome, Publisher.
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
One of the ULTIMATE media rip-offs!
FORD launched the new 'Bronco' brand during the pandemic summer of 2020.There were two parts of the launch. One, the race effort (Baja 1000 2019; a complete abortion from FORD Performance) with the Bronco-R.
Two, the marketing launch of the new retail vehicle.
Jackson Dawson, of Detroit Michigan, a creative marketing agency, was hired by the FORD Motor Company to produce and run a thing called "Bronco Nation".
Jackson Dawson say about themselves, "About Us, We believe that success begins with great ideas and mutual trust".
FORD contracted with Jackson Dawson and DISNEY to launch the new 'Bronco' brand and all the associated advertising media work.
This story is about the Jackson Dawson - Disney media effort to launch the new retail vehicle and the new branding, 'Bronco Nation'.
Jackson Dawson, a third party media cut-out was used to produce the 'Bronco-Nation' video we are speaking to here.
No one at FORD, Disney or Jackson Dawson-Bronco Nation or that company that got ripped-off (the original owner of the 60's era film) could hardly expect a humble rag in Mexico to discover the theft!
BajaRacingNews.com follows these developments very closely. So closely, that when the Off-road motorsports hall of fame showed the Rod Hall tribute trailer, we discovered the tribute producer had stolen film footage from the rightful owner.
They ran the stolen footage in front of God and everyone!
We notified the owner of the theft and the settlement included a cash payment from the thieving media producer, to the rightful owner.
The Hall family douche-film producer was so desperate to visually connect famous Baja racing luminaries (Garner, Steve and others like our number one fan, the first lady of motorsports - clearly documented in the 60's era film) for the family of Rod Hall, she stole the film clips.
Really desperate, so desperate, she stole film footage, shot from the original Mexican 1000, that she did not own.
To our surprise, when we saw the new FORD video efforts for the new retail Bronco, the same film owners stuff was stolen by Jackson Dawson-Bronco Nation, Disney-FORD Motor Company, stolen from that same owner!
Disney and FORD actually imprinted the Ford blue oval on top of film footage, STOLEN, trademark infringed and distributed around the globe via the internet, now recently removed from the interwebs.
This is how major corporations operate. They want to make MORE MONEY and they steal from rightful owners to sell their new crap. They hire hack-whores to do their dirty work, like stealing from small mom and pop business operations.
And FORD was desperate.
After dumping the 'Bronco brand' some years ago, 2020 was the year to go back to a good idea and make new money.
Because the footage in question was 'racing' footage, maybe FORD didn't see the immediate value. But, the off-roaders see racing as a badge of value.
FORD needed that value added to the new sell of the new Bronco.
At the last operating SEMA, the Bronco brand was no where to be seen. Except for a Jay Leno build, seen right on the FORD main stage.
SEMA 2020 was to be the grand show for the new brand. FORD teamed with the Hall family and SCORE to create a new image for the brand, racing in 2019 and the 2020 marketing year was the showcase for the retail effort.
They had to reconnect with the Stroppe racing past, for credibility purposes, to paint the new effort for 2020.
The only thing they had access to, was old movie stock from the original Mexican 1000. That wasn't their property.
They had access to the footage from a contract with the owner that allowed FORD a finite window of use from the selected film cuts.
Reportedly, FORD used the footage in the launch videos, outside of their legal use allowances. The contract with FORD ended on October 28, 2020.
Most of this stemmed from the Hall family tribute, when BajaRacingNews.com caught the producer using footage that they WERE NOT authorized to use, because they had not agreed to PAY for the use.
The same material seen by the Hall tribute producer was made available for use to FORD, under contract.
This is now a massive Jackson Dawson-Bronco Nation contract violation and could evolve into a Disney-FORD-Trademark Violation, a federal legal circus, a Hollywood lawyers dream!
Unless, of course, Ford-Disney just wants to cut a check, for one million dollars.
And the "hall of shame" can now be part of the party.
Calls to the 'hall of shame' found that Barbara knew nothing about the theft and the organization knew nothing about the stolen (breach of contract is the actual action) footage being used in the Hall family trailer, displayed at their event in 2019.
Calls to Jackson Dawson-Bronco Nation and FORD, from this humble Ensenada, Mexico fish-wrap, went unreturned for notice to the companies and individuals in question.
What, Detroit, Big Blue Oval FORD and their hired whores like Jackson Dawson pick-up a phone and call Mexico! No way!
